Pictures from the Tower

[myartstory] re: definitions of art [part 2]

OK - I think that I've established that this works now.

Your piece of work is just about subsituting the numbers for objects or ideas. So a snail can be the number one. But what does this meab when you get snail x dog ?

Its like you are saying that the pictures on the website aren't worth as much as the paper copy - so how would you feel if you could find your original version on the disc (or you typed it again???) and put this on the website for people to download - would that be the same ?

In answer to your questions

1. Is this a work of art?

I think so - maybe not very good - no thats not fair - its interesting

2. What exactly do I (the artist) regard as the work of art?

          n/a

3. Is a copy like the one on this website a work of art?

           maybe

4. Why is the paper copy different from the image of the paper copy?

you can pick up a piece of paper

5. If I made lots of copies do theytin all have the same worth?

maybe they are all of equal worth, but the more you make the less each one is worth - although i appreciate that that is just a monetary way of looking at things.

[myartstory] re: definitions of art

I've forgotten how to post.. so I hope that this works.

OK so your pictures a code - objects for numbers. Surely the piece of work is in the idea - you would think that therefore the ones on paper and the scanned copies are equivalent, but I think that you are trying to imply that they are not.
